Developed by Ideavibes, the company is now offering their program as a “freemium,” allowing companies 45 days to use the program for free and see the benefits that can be reaped.

Yelp's Star System Serves Up A Tasty Dish

The influence of Yelp.com, the popular crowd-sourcing website, has been felt by over 3,500 Seattle based restaurants, a recent report has revealed. The report, which covers the period from 2003 through to October 2009, accumulated data from the Seattle Department of Revenue. This in turn revealed a clear indication that with every one star increase on Yelp’s five star rating system, each food establishment experienced a 5-9% increase in revenue.

Social Network Launches for Open Innovation Industry Professionals

Crowdsourcing professionals now have their another section in cyberspace to talk about their industry and build new business opportunities together. On October 6, the Co-Creation Forum launched their own social network to offer executives more opportunities to engage in dialogue with each other. Professionals can use the moderated private network to build regional chapters and networking groups, post news and messages, and send instant messages to other members, among other things.
